The goals of the
are to have fun and prepare students for state
and national championship tournaments. Students
should have tournament experience and a strong
desire to strengthen their growing skills set by
seeking a deeper understanding of opening
themes, middle game tactics and endgame
precision.
This camp includes detailed instruction on using
the chess software programs Fritz and ChessBase
to gain a competitive edge. Students with
unpublished ratings or a rating below 1100
admitted with permission of chess instructor.
